Hi! I’m Cynthia! On this blog – I’ll be writing about the things I love; cooking real food, embracing the seasons, and sharing meals with the people in my life. There will be apple recipes in the fall, brussel-sprouts for the winter, radishes in springtime and gorgeous tomatoes all summer mainly all from my garden. For a long time I have fought with weight issues and tried all sorts of non-sense diets all while knowing that the keys of health and a balance lifestyle lie in eating real food in the right season. Often you will find the food that I grew up with, food from my Mama’s kitchen – food made with love, passed down from generation to generation, food that for a brief second takes me back in time, to my mother’s dining table. Table that I shared with my 7 siblings and my parents! Growing food and cooking in general is the very heart of fine living. This blog is a celebration of community, the garden, farmers, artisans, families, traditions, being Latina, and all of the hard work it takes to bring goodness to the table. More than often I will share my obsession with coffee!
I am also wife to my best friend & Photographer Johnny. We do life and work together, we love Jesus Christ and hope to live lives with intention. I am a child of God, a woman pursuing to be the best woman I can be in God.I am passionate about the liberation of sex slaves and the end of this terrible industry.I have a love affair with food and life…I love people. I love to wear vintage chic aprons from Antropologie mainly because they make me feel like a 1950s housewife. I have the ability to be obscenely domestic – my mama taught me well. I work in my family business. But I also dream of owning a cafe and an Artisan Salsa bar. But honestly, I’m just a 20-something girl trying to find her place in this world.
My love, Johnny, happens to be quite the talented photographer. A landscape architect turned image making mastermind…his forte are people and architecture, we are using this space to work on food
We look forward to your comments, and hope to bring you to a table with people you love. So, welcome to my adventure. I hope you stop by for a visit and stay awhile. I always enjoy the company. You never know, you just might find yourself starting an adventure of your own.

Hi Cynthia! I dont remember how I stumbled upon your blog on instagram but I am glad I did. I really like it and I love your about page. I can relate to about everything you said here. I can not dedicate so much time to my house, as I want to but I do love all things domestic and wish I can keep up a garden. Nice to “meet you” and I hope we can stay in touch and support our blogs. Have a great rest of the week!
